Not bad at all for $1900. Not too many manual Acura coupes out there. Has a check engine light, looks like an O2 sensor. Also has an exhaust leak somewhere. Other than that everything is working. Nothing is leaking underneath. Sticker until April, so plenty of time to work on it. He just let me take it for a spin around the block. Idles a little rough, but that could just be the sensor/leak. Alignment is good, steering feels fine, shifts well, clutch feels fine, rides great. Interior is in pretty good shape besides a gross wheel. All the powered things work including the sunroof and no cracks on the dash. Has some paint issues and we’ll need to clean up those headlights. A/C blows ice cold and the car moves under its own power which is pretty much worth $1000 here is South Texas.

Found this mislabeled 2.2 CL while looking at Integra’s on CL last night. Looks decently clean for 200k miles. Showed it to my friend, keeper of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (turbo currently sitting on his desk awaiting rebuild). So of course he is going to look at right now. Hopefully comes back in one piece. If the recent repairs check out, this could be a decent DD for the price. These aren’t too hard to work on, so we can fix whatever does break in the parking lot. He figures if he gets 6 months with working AC before something grenades it will be worth it.

But it’s October, he’ll only need AC for 2 more months.

it’s always impressive when people don’t even know what they own

Those are basically just tarted-up 5th generation Accords. Super easy to get parts for.

Yep. 200k doesn’t really seem like too much of a red flag if the body and interior are decent. We can replace everything else for a decent price just using Honda parts - unlike some Lexus’s of the same era there doesn’t seem to be much mechanically unique to the Acura.

Yep. Looks like he made a good purchase. Especially since I didn’t notice the manual.

Ah yes, the little-known predecessor to the Vibe.

Right?! He’s single and can pull this stuff off. I wouldn’t be able to sneak it past my wife either. But the funny thing is having a decent, but rough around the edges 3rd car would be worth it to avoid all the arguments about transportation that happen when one of our 2 is in the shop

I sold the third car a good while ago when the wife stopped working to find something that makes her happier. I don’t mind the sacrifice, she was dying inside at her job and it was hurting as a result. She’s given me the go ahead for a range rover classic when things get turned back around

I had won one of these on eBay for $700. The black leather interior was mint but it needed a body kit front bumper and a new clutch. I couldn’t work out towing with a friends truck and his bosses trailer so I had to let that one slip. It was only 350 miles away.

That’s a pretty good deal. I get why they didn’t sell all that well originally - near-luxury FWD 4-cyl coupe isn’t ever going to be a hot segment - but they are nice reliable cars that can be picke up cheap. Sorry it didn’t work out.

Lol. Acura Integrated? You’d think he’d be able to differentiate between models.

Acura should have never left the fun spirited small car and just enough amenities for neighbors to think you’re doing modestly well segment.

I’ll find something else cheap with leather and a manual a couple hundred miles closer sooner or later.

Cheap leather manual... sounds like a recipe for an E36 318i

Oddly enough it turned out that the seller was a mechanic who knew what it was. I think he just isn’t very computer literate and didn’t want to deal with the options in CL. He bought it for a few hundred bucks from a customer who had just replaced the water pump and found out it needed a head gasket and just wanted to dump it. He fixed it and drove it for a while and decided it was time to move on.
